Ramin Rahimi: Born 1969 in Tehran, is a Drums and Percussion player. Started playing since he was teenager, played Cello for Tehran Symphony Orchestra for some years. In 1998 he established Ramin Rahimi’s Tapesh band, which is a unique all percussion band. In the studio Ramin plays all percussions himself but for live concerts Tapesh becomes a 25-member band with guest musicians.
In Iran Ramin and Tapesh have performed many concerts including charity concerts to benefit children suffering from cancer.
Intrnationally Ramin and Tapesh have performed live concerts in many countries, including Turkey, Germany, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Armenia, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
In 2007 Ramin joined Angband, then he Recorded his first solo Album, later in 2008 he signed with ARC music and in 2009 his first solo album “Iraninan Percussion” released July 14th 2009..
In 2008-9 Ramin worked on new Angband album "Vision of the Seeker" and then recorded his 2nd solo album "Pulse of Persia" with many guest musician, the album released June 7th 2010 on ARC music label.

 

Ramin has been teaching drums and percussion at a music institute in Tehran for many years.
