Born in Tehran in 1974, become a huge Music fan specially Metal music in high school, began playing Classical Guitar and Electric Guitar, published  Death book in 2000 and Testament book in 2001, Launched Rocknama.com webzine in 2002  and ran it for 2 years, took lessons of Music Theory, Harmony, Counterpoint and Orchestration under the mentorship of professor Houshang Ostovar for 4 years, also learnt about the physics of sound under the mentorship of professor Amin Shahmiri. Formed Angband in 2004. Produced "Rising from Apadana" & "Visions of the Seeker" albums. Mahyar has been teaching Electric Guitar & Acoustic Guitar in Tehran since 2002.
